How do you get your site on google?

-I submitted a sitemap to google, its been 1 week. It says its been successful yet nothing happened. Didnt do google analystics because i dont want to... I got a $50 google adwords coupon and i started a campaign with billing and everything but my ad isnt appearing and idk even know if it started... Ugh i need help here, major.!

1. Google visited your site and indexed it - this is good

2. you are using a system called Yola. I do not know anything about the system

3. this is your title tag - <title>LowPriced</title>. not very good

4. this is your meta tag description - <meta name="description" content="" />

5. this is your meta tag keywords - <meta name="keywords" content="" />

6. the web site content is not amazing. for example, this is not a proper English question "Want Cheap?"
OK, here's the first tip: FORGET ABOUT EARNING MONEY!

You need to concentrate on building visitor numbers, that should be your sole aim in life! Get the site well designed (good navigation), well coded (W3C compliant),lots of good, original content. Then get your description tags sorted also very important.



Then keep your page load quick - google website optimisation.



Then get on webmaster tools - submit a sitemap and check the HTML suggestions regularly - google will tell you if there's anything it doesn't like.

Do these things and I GUARANTEE you'll see an increase.



It gets harder after this. Page structure - make sure things are in the right order - title, h1, h2, paragraphs. Put your important keywords near the top.



If you've done all this, google wordtracker - find the popular terms and track your positions - if you want to move up, make sure these terms are in your title tags etc.



Even harder - build some links (genuine ones) and use the keywords in the links.



Then keep repeating all these steps whilst adding content regularly.



OK, that's the 'proper' way. There are black hat ways to make money with a website but it is not easy. If it is too obvious Google will find out and penalize you and that will be it. It is possibly harder to run a site solely to make money without providing any service.

So the choice is yours.

If you think you can just throw up a site, run some Adwords and Adsense and watch the money roll in, think again!

Just looked at the site, no offence, but it is rubbish. Purely because you don't seem to have bothered with anything. If you visited a website and you saw that the person had just thrown up the site as cheaply as possible would you bother to re-visit? Of course you wouldn't.

You must put in an effort (and, yes, even a bit of money) to make everything as attractive, interesting, compelling as possible.
