How come every store lists things 1 cent lower? $0.99, $99, ect?

-Why is everything rounded down 1 cent? I know $0.99 means $1.06 with tax, I'm not stupid when I see $4.99. You can't buy something that is listed as $4.99 with a $5 bill, its stupid



Why don't stores include tax in their listed price?

Why do they always round down so there is 99 in the price?Because about 25% of the population don't have brains that work.

And they think that 99 cents is cheaper than a dollarfor the 99 cent thing its the peoples psyche's the think that 5 dollars is too much but 4.99 isnt as bad its just the way people think
It makes things look cheaper, so people are more tempted to buy.
