Do I Need A Permit To Sell On Etsy?

-I might want to sell somethings in the future on Etsy.com, but I don't know exactly if I need a permit or not, some people are saying you need to check with your city, and others are saying you don't have to.Help please D:?It may depend on whether you have sales tax in your state or not. In my state, we do not, so we do not need to register our business to be able to collect tax. So I don't need any type of permit or license. But every state is different - and there may also be some local ordinances you need to check out. WHAT you sell may also impact this. For example, if you are selling home-made FOOD, you may have to have a special permit, separate facilities for making the food that is inspected on a regular basis by local authorities, etc.
